On 23 May 2018 in the Institute of Music and Dance, a selection commission decided on the best projects to be included in the 2018/2019 season of the ‘Conductor-in-Residence’ programme.

The commission set up to select the best projects for the programme comprised members of the conducting profession, education and musical establishments (Prof. Tadeusz Strugała, Prof. Elżbieta Wiesztordt-Sulecińska, Dr Adam Klocek) as well as a representative from the Institute of Music and Dance (Brygida Błaszczyk-Podhajska).

Seven applications were submitted to the programme. The selection commission awarded five residences.

Financial support was earmarked for the following list of projects:

Elbląska Orkiestra Kameralna (Elbląg Chamber Orchestra) – Mateusz Rusowicz (amount awarded: PLN 29 000)

Polska Filharmonia „Sinfonia Baltica” im. Wojciecha Kilara (Wojciech Kilar Polish Philharmonic ‘Sinfonia Baltica’) – Daniel Sałaciński (amount awarded: PLN 20 000)
