‘Blank Pages – Music and Dance’ – applications to be submitted until 15 June

May 14, 2018

All applications for the Institute of Music and Dance’s programme ‘Blank Pages – Music and Dance’ must be submitted by 15 June 2018.

The programme is a new version of ‘Blank Pages of Music’, a brainchild of the Institute of Music and Dance addressed to Polish and foreign researchers who plan to conduct research into neglected and obscure areas of Polish music and dance.

The research may cover a broad spectrum of eras and genres, and it may include such areas of study as compositional outputs, artistic achievements, musicological activities, reception of music and dance, history, theory and aesthetics of Polish dance, especially concert dance, as well as the cultural aspects of music and dance in Poland. The end result of the research will be submitted in the written form, e.g. musicological papers, science articles, catalogues of the artists’ complete works, databases, reconstructions of works and critical editions of source materials.

The programme is dedicated to the holders of Master’s degrees with a proven record of research work. The subject of research will be duly submitted by a researcher or a group of researchers (consisting of no more than 3 people).

The 2018/2019 edition of the programme will run between 1 August 2018 and 30 April 2019.

The final deadline for submissions is 15 June 2018 and the selection of projects will be made on 20 July 2018. The budget dedicated to this edition amounts to 150,000 zlotys.

Director’s announcement, rulebook and application form can all be found at the Institute of Music and Dance’s website under ‘programmes’.
