New Interpretations – 4th Edition – Call for Applications

Jul 18, 2013

We are glad to inform that the 4th edition of New Interpretations, a programme of the Institute of Music and Dance, has been launched. The composers singled out for the 4th edition are Marcin Mielczewski, Juliusz Zarębski and Andrzej Panufnik.

Now Interpretations is a programme dedicated to Polish musicians pursing an individual artistic career or working as part of non-institutionalised ensembles, and aims to promote performances of Polish music, especially works which are less frequently present in Polish concert repertoires.

As part of the programme, the Institute of Music and Dance provides partial funding towards the remuneration of artists who include for the first time in their repertoire pieces by composers promoted in a given edition of the programme, and perform them publically.

The composers singled out for the 4th edition are Marcin Mielczewski, Juliusz Zarębski and Andrzej Panufnik, whose birthday centenary will be celebrated in 2014.

The 4th edition covers concerts taking place from 1 January to 31 December 2014.

The programme is dedicated to the music community in Poland.

Detailed information and the programme’s rules and regulations are available at www.imit.org.pl in the Programmes section.
